Grass is only half of it

East Brainerd is subdivision country on Chattanooga's east side — streets laid out with planted beds, borders and foundation shrubs designed in from the start, on ground that rolls more than it looks like it does from the road.

Which means the grass is only part of the job here. A lawn can be cut perfectly and the property still look neglected if the beds have closed in, the mulch has gone grey and the shrubs have grown past the windows. On these streets that's usually what's actually wrong.
